Pargraph 4
During the masked ball, there was thousands of people everywhere, but this wasn't your annual nice mask and dress no I say, it was really different. It was different in the kind of way which was creepy. And there was a lot of rooms, rooms that made you say wow or woah because they had that kind of feeling and it the rooms were made out of rubber and they felt like they were getting smaller even some people thought they were getting bigger. It was confusing because the music was very old classical and no one knew what was happening. There was 6 rooms the one room was a periwinkle color. The second room was a bright but low red. The third was a high but dark purple. And the fourth was a cool blue and the fifth was green with pink dots everywhere, and the last room was plain old brown but it had clown faces all over the place and the eyes followed you everywhere so you couldn't understand what was happening.

Child Abuse
Child Abuse, Argirios Stakias
Child Abuse Causes Long Lasting Harm
Do you think that child abuse is very rare and does not affect a lot of people? It was found to alter the brain and the effects lasts a life time. It is a serious public health problem. abuse and neglect costs $80 million dollars a year. It is difficult to decide who is responsible for the abuse to the child. The child suffers more than anyone will believe they do, whether its health or physical abuse, not one child should suffer like that. A child is not built to their strong human form until they are about 10 years old. Anyone then that, should really be watched because their bodies are fragile and they cannot take a lot of pain. Then there are the health issues. Just because the parent does not physically hurt the child, there can still be abuse. The child could not be fed the right amount of food and they could die from hunger. They could also die from an illness caused by poor nutrition as they get older. Child abuse is a problem that needs to be solved because children are suffering, and it has long lasting effects whether it's mental or physical abuse.

My
Life with Sports.
Hello, welcome to my English 9
blog. I am a student at John Carroll High School. This is my first year at John
Carroll. What makes me happy about being at this school is that it’s a new
start with friends, school work and everything else in general. When I’m not in
school I probably have either a baseball bat or my goalie gloves for soccer
because sports is my life. Without sports then I don’t know what I would do on
my free time. Most of the time every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are the days
I go to the batting cages to hit some baseballs. Then every Tuesday and
Thursday I go to a soccer field and my dad hit soccer balls at me. But
Saturdays are always the fun nights because we always go out to eat food like a
family and discuss school or sports. Lastly, on Sundays we go to church at St.
Mary Magdalene and Markella Greek Orthodox Church.
Since this is a new start for me at
John Carroll I had set lots of goals for myself not only in English class but
also in my future years at John Carroll and my personals goals for what I’m
going to be when I grow up. First, will start off with my English 9 goal. My
goal is not only to past the class with an “A” but I will also like to learn a
lot out of it. For example, I would like to increase my vocabulary words and
become a much better writer and reader for the future but I would really like
to improve my reading skills. Next, my goal is to past high school. Which
should be every one else’s. But after the day of my graduation, I want to look
back and say to myself that I have learned a lot from John Carroll and that it
really prepped me for the college.
Lastly, my own personal goal
after my days at college. I would really like to grow up to be either a
professional baseball player or a professional soccer player. But that’s my
goal and the odds of that happening are very hard but that’s why I have a back
up plan. I would want to become a doctor to heal the wound and to cure the sick
like Jesus did. According to the gospel readings of St. Mathew, and St. John.
If somehow I do make it into the professionals then I would want to become a
doctor. I will also be proud of my accomplishments till the end.
On my honor, I have neither given
nor received unauthorized on this graded academic work.

The three topics I've had chosen were Child Abuse, Syria, Drugs. Each of them all can be dangerous because Syria is bombing people, child abuse is when a child is getting hurt really bad and drugs may kill you sooner or later. Syria is having issues with a leader and they keep bombing people and the United States wants to bomb them back and so the Congress voted on it http://www.theguardian.com/world/syria. Child Abuse is a horrible thing because the guardian of the child is beating and hurting there child for no reason and that is a horrible thing because you can really hurt that baby or even kill him. http://www.helpguide.org/mental/child_abuse_physical_emotional_sexual_neglect.htm And drugs can really kill someone or someone else because when your under the influence of something you can think straight and you damage yourself and you need to stop all of that or else you will end up in jail. http://www.drugs.com/ The topics are important because they can kill Americans through the drugs or a bomb attack or when you a child threw abuse. That's why all my topics are harmful or dangerous in there own way.

My First Week
My first week at John Carroll was one of the most exciting thing of my life because its a new start, new people, new teachers etc. I really like it how we get free mods to eat lunch or do our homework or even see a teacher. I'm really excited for all the classes and the teachers. All the teachers want to help you and make sure you pass there class. I really enjoyed the first day of school. I woke up that morning and I'm like '' Yes, I'm A freshman and a mini adult and a great athlete entering The John Carroll School. I was just so excited because I've never felt like that before with school and when my mom was driving me to school I was telling her ''Mom hurry up and get me to school.'' and she replied with ''I'm diving the speed limit I cant go any faster or else I will get a ticket, just be patient we will get there eventually.'' Once I finally got there I was so happy but I will admit I was a little scared and nervous for school this year. But once I got straight with the teachers and see how the schooled flowed then I got used to it and all the nervousness goes away. I will also that I am really grateful to be going to The John Carroll School because this school is the best school ever, they do a lot for the community and for other countries with foreign exchanged program. There was thing I really like at The John Carroll School that no one else will agree with and that is homework, I love homework. Because if you fail a quiz or a test that can determine if you past the class with all good grades on the homework but if you don't do your homework then you fail the class have to re-take it in summer school or the following year. Lastly, all the students and teachers are so fun inside the class room because we have the best conversations and most of the time there so funny and really serious at the same time. Its always a great time especially in English and Human Geography with Mr. Schick. And that's how my first week at The John Carroll School and some of my opinions.
